On March 10th the new dolphinarium at Palmitos Park opened its doors in Gran Canaria (Spain). Located in the spectacular setting of the Palmitos Gull, the new dolphin arena combines entertainment with spectacular shows and a highly educational approach.
This new offer makes Palmitos Park a top European leisure centre as well as a must visit for all nature lovers. The new facilities spread over 3.000m² and features three pools and over 4 million litres of water. The most modern technology was used in its construction in order to achieve an efficient use of water and provide an unforgettable experience for all visitors.
There are currently five bottle nose dolphins in Palmitos although it could host up to nine. During the exhibitions these mammals display agility, intelligence and strength while trainers explain aspects of their behaviour, morphology and habits.
Palmitos Park’s dolphinarium is Aspro’s fifth along with those at Marineland (Barcelona and Mallorca, Spain), Aqualand Costa Adeje (Tenerife, Spain) and Boudewijn Seapark (Brugge, Belgium). The new facilities reflect the experience and knowledge acquired by Aspro over these past 20 years.
Finally, the new dolphinarium at Palmitos Park is aligned with Aspro’s values:
- Leisure
- Awareness
- Investigation
- Social commitment
